Reflection and Gratitude: The Journey and Future of EIM+

January 1st, 2023, will mark the one-year anniversary of Emotional Intelligence Magazine (EIM+)!

When I first had the vision for EIM+ in October 2021, I never imagined it would be so well received. The magazine has grown organically, and as of today (November 23rd, 2022), it has reached over 100K global readers, with a third of those being in just the past 28 days alone. Every month, our readership base grows between 30-50%.

This warms my heart that you and so many others are in search of learning more about emotional intelligence and how it can improve and serve every aspect of your life, be it parenting, self-acceptance, our career or business, relationships with family, friends or significant others, or community relations.

The change that emotional intelligence has had on my life and many others leads me to believe that it is the skill that will help humanity heal from the vast number of people-problems we suffer from today. EI allows us to become aware of and address the root of the many challenges we face as individuals and as a collective society. The key is incorporating emotional intelligence into our everyday lives and the essence of being. If it’s only used as a means to an end or when felt “necessary,” it too will fail to yield long-lasting and meaningful results.

As the founder and Editor in Chief of EIM+, I feel it is my duty to share this important message with the world and continue expanding our offer of resources related to emotional intelligence, mental health, well-being, and spirituality.

Looking into the future of EIM+

There are many things in the pipeline for EIM+. Here is what you can expect to see in 2023.

January:

CONVOshop Fellowship: I am leading a transformational community focused on deep and long-lasting personal growth and development. Here, you will learn how to rid yourself of things that aren’t serving you and declutter your mind, heart, and life to make space for what you deserve—fulfillment, connection, and self-love. This community will offer a supportive space to share and grow, providing resources to help you heal from emotional trauma and create a life of fulfillment and success. Applications are open for the first cohort and will close on January 3rd.

Ads and Sponsorship: My vision for EIM+ was to be primarily funded by our readers to allow for an ad-free user experience. Unfortunately, we do not have enough support to continue being ad-free. Although we will display ads come January, I will ensure your user experience stays as positive as possible by limiting the number of ads per article and page. If you or someone you know is interested in being a sponsor or would like to advertise, please contact us at info@ei-magazine.com.

March:

Expect to see us in the app store! We want to make accessing our content as easy as possible. We have almost completed our EIM+, allowing you to view our content at the click of a button and receive a notification when new content has been released, special offers are available, and events are being hosted online.

April/May:

If you are looking for EI training, courses, workshops, and live expert Q&As, we will kick off a members-only (subscription) that will give you access to free monthly courses, events, and discounted training and programs.

Overwhelmed with gratitude

Every day I wake up grateful for the opportunity to serve a global population and share the value of emotional intelligence. When I receive emails and messages from fellow readers and listeners of our podcast, it adds fuel to my fire to do more and is an equally humbling experience.

This publication wouldn’t be possible without YOU and so many others reading and sharing our content. I’m beyond grateful for you, our listed specialists who make the world a better place through their services, the over 60+ contributors who provide you with over half of the content you read, and our current founding patrons for their monthly gifts: Chuck Cooper, Jeff Wanner, Joanne Light, Vonetta Wade, Chris Campbell, Michael R. Frazier, and Dr. Jayne Gardner. These donations help EIM+ continue to serve its audience. Thank you!

YOU are making a difference

If you're reading this, it's because you care about making a difference in the world. Don't ever doubt your potential and impact - you have the ability to create lasting and meaningful change in your personal life, community, and beyond.

Sometimes it might feel like the odds are against you, but anything is possible with dedication, perseverance, and emotional intelligence. So keep your head up and stay focused on your goals through the lens of compassion and purpose because no dream is too big to achieve.

And be kind to yourself and others, as we all have personal challenges to overcome and emotional traumas to heal. With all of us focused on loving and bettering ourselves, we can create a more just and equitable society and work towards a brighter future.

Thank you for being the change you wish to see. I am grateful to you every day.

If you are not a founding sponsor and wish to be, it’s not too late. Anyone who becomes a founding patron before the end of 2022 will receive a Founding Sponsor badge and public acknowledgment. You can contribute to EIM+ here.
